- Is the online quote final?
- No, it is an estimate. It depends on the number of stations and cameras, the installation distance and the scope of the design work. Send us the result with your project details and we will prepare a final assessment.
- What does project design include?
- It depends on your starting point. If you already know where each station should go, we charge 1.5 days per station to confirm the site is suitable, decide the exact position and follow up on land-use arrangements. If you do not know yet, we estimate the work from the number of stations and the km² to be assessed.
- When does maintenance billing start?
- Maintenance is billed annually and starts after installation, not before. The quote shows it separately from the one-off cost so the distinction is clear.
- What exactly gets installed?
- Professional Davis weather stations, landscape cameras and the communications infrastructure that connects them. The data reaches a web platform where it can be consulted, compared between stations and downloaded. Each piece of equipment is listed on the service page.
- What does the site need to have?
- An unobstructed spot and data coverage. The stations are self-powered and need no mains connection. Where there is coverage and where there is not is exactly what the design phase settles, and it is why every site is visited before anything is installed.
- How long from order to first data?
- It depends on the number of stations and on land-use permits, usually the slowest part and not one we control. The project moves through milestones — network design and site survey, equipment ordering, installation, commissioning and handover — and you follow them from your customer area without having to ask where things stand.
- Who owns the data?
- You do. We install, maintain and provide the platform where the data is consulted; the historical series is yours and can be downloaded whenever you want. A territorial observatory that will not let you take your own data away is not an observatory, it is a rental.
